Soccer player Jorginho is speaking out after describing what he called a “very upsetting” interaction involving his daughter and a member of singer Chappell Roan’s security team.
The situation was shared in an Instagram story and has since circulated widely online, sparking debate among fans.
According to Jorginho, his wife and 11-year-old daughter were staying at a hotel in São Paulo while attending Lollapalooza. He said his daughter is a fan of Chappell Roan and recognized the singer during breakfast at the hotel.
In his account, Jorginho said his daughter briefly walked past Roan’s table, smiled, and then returned to her own seat without speaking or asking for anything.
“She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything,” he wrote.
Jorginho alleges that a member of Roan’s security team then approached their table and spoke to his wife in what he described as an aggressive manner. According to his statement, the guard told them the child should not “disrespect” or “harass” others and warned that a complaint could be filed with the hotel.
He said the interaction left his daughter visibly upset.
In the same post, Jorginho also directed a message toward Roan, expressing frustration over how the situation was handled.
Public Reaction to Security Incident
Some users also speculated about the family’s public profile, though those claims have not been independently verified.
The situation quickly sparked reactions online, with many users expressing sympathy for the family and questioning how the interaction unfolded.
“This is not a good look,” one commenter wrote.
Others focused on how public figures and their teams handle fan encounters, especially when children are involved. Some users argued that the situation may have been misinterpreted, noting that the full context of the interaction is not shown in the available clips.
At the same time, others criticized the response described by Jorginho, saying that a situation involving a child could have been handled differently.
The discussion continues to circulate online as users weigh in on the balance between personal boundaries and interactions with fans in public settings.
