Hey there guys, it’s almost Christmas and we here at Thenerdstash are celebrating, by getting out our Christmas stockings and supplying some cookies and milk for Santa. However, we aren’t the only ones celebrating. There are several big budget games offering festive content to their players. So today we are looking at some of the Holiday DLC you can pick up this Christmas.
Pokemon Go is offering the chance to encounter and hatch certain types of Pokemon, through their new holiday update. PokeStops will offer one single-use egg incubator after your first spin each day, through December 25th to January 3rd. Egg’s obtained between these dates will have a higher chance of containing Elekid, Igglybuff, Cleffa, Pichu, Magby, Smoochum, and Togepi.
Then continuing in the giving mood, Niantic has given players a better chance of capturing the famed starter evolutions from December 30th to January 8th. For those of you who aren’t educated in the world of Pokemon. That includes Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Bulbasaur, Ivysaur and Venasaur. And Santa Hat Pikachu, who was previously only available till December 29th, will continue to be available all the way up to January 3rd. This is Pokemon Go’s third-holiday event, after their previous Halloween Ghost Pokemon and Thanksgiving XP updates.
However, Pokemon Go isn’t the only game in a merry mood. Overwatch’s Christmas event, Winter Wonderland, ends January 7th. The update includes new skins, emotes, sprays and maps. Some of these apply to characters such as Tracer, Torbjörn, Lúcio, and Mei. Another title that has almost entirely dedicated itself to being festive is Dead Rising 4. Which already had plenty of Christmas-themed content. As part of the season pass Dead Rising 4 players have access to the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack. This pack offers festive weapons, vehicles, costumes, and zombies.
So wherever you go, you can get into the holiday mood. For everything on Christmas themed content, stay tuned to Thenerdstash.
