Clint Eastwood‘s very tough year is taking a toll on him. The veteran actor suffered the devastating loss of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera, in July. Months later, his daughter, Francesca Eastwood, was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend. With all this drama, the 94-year-old is reportedly struggling.
“Clint is having a hard time dealing with all the recent lows in his life. Francesca’s arrest could not have come at a worse time in his life because he is feeling pretty sad about losing his girlfriend three months ago,” a source told Daily Mail. “To say he is feeling down is a gross understatement.”
Clint, who has a new movie coming out on November 1, reportedly feels “that things are out of control in a way that they were not before.” His pain is particularly intensified by the loss of the love of his life. The insider explained:
“He was really in love with her and they got along well. He would tell his pals that he wished he had met her much sooner like when he was in his 30s. He wanted more time with her.”

The informant added that Francesca’s domestic abuse charge comes as a shock to the Dirty Harry actor, who has a “close bond” with her. Clint allegedly takes being a good father as “extremely important.” Hence, the arrest is a blow to his reputation. However, he is standing by her during this difficult time.
“You just want peace when you are older, you don’t want this drama. And this is drama. When cops get involved it is big drama. He is surprised, but will be there for Francesca.”
The 31-year-old was accused of hitting her partner, Alexander Wraith, with whom she shares a son, Titan. She was arrested for alleged “assault-domestic violence/inflicting corporal injury (spouse or cohabitant abuse)” but was released on a bond of $50,000.
