Halloween decorations can come in all shapes and sizes. They can also range from adorable to classic to seriously scary. One woman in Colorado decided to share her love of spooky season through her outdoor decorations, but her neighbor was not happy about it. In fact, the neighbor was so upset and shocked by the decor that she decided to get the police involved. This prompted the woman to take to social media to share her setup and ask for opinions.
According to a TikTok video, the Colorado Halloween lover revealed that her neighbor was unhappy about her decorations, calling them “offensive.” So, she decided to ask the internet if anything in her yard was inappropriate.
With a setup like that, viewers were likely expecting some very scary decortions, complete with monsters, gore, and mayhem. However, instead, they got a surprise. The woman revealed that she didn’t set up any decorations on the side of her house, right next to her neighbor. Instead, she stuck mostly to her front yard, revealing that the neighborhood kids loved it.
Colorado Woman Says Neighbor Called The Cops About Her ‘Offensive’ Halloween Decorations
The decor included some items such as an inflatable minion from the Despicable Me movies, some flamingos with punk rock costumes on, some pumpkins with faces on them, A couple of giant, very fake-looking spiders, a 12-foot skeleton, which have become very popular in the past few years, a rocking horse with a skelton riding on it, skelton unicorns, and several other inflatables such as unicorns, a black cat, and a grandfather clock.
Several people on the internet were very confused by the neighbor’s problem with the decorations, which seemed to be rated PG at best. However, some believed that the rainbow symbolism may have been what the neighbor found offensive.
“I don’t think your neighbor has a problem with your decorations, now I think they are just homophobic,” one person commented. “It’s 100% the rainbows on the unicorns that they’re offended by,” another agreed. “She called the cops because she was offended? It’s not illegal for someone to offend you. I hate the world today,” a third person added. “It’s highly offensive! I saw a rainbow in the sky on my drive home yesterday and I called the cops,” a fourth person joked.
However, the story doesn’t end there. The woman who posted the video later revealed in the comment section that the neighbor was so offended by the Halloween decorations that she decided to move. “She Was So Mad She Put Her House Up For Sale,” said the video creator.
It seems that Halloween may have just gotten even more exciting on this Colorado woman’s block. If the neighbor leaves, even decor could go up. The police will likely also be happy not to receive calls for something they can do nothing about.
