Having debuted on HBO in October 2000 Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm has gone on to gather a whole host of fans over its 10 season run. Since the last season ended fans have been wondering what the future will hold for the TV series. Well, they need wonder no more as HBO has announced that Curb Your Enthusiasm has been renewed for an 11th season.
In a press release Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO programming had this to say:
“This past season tapped into the zeitgeist in such an uncomfortably delightful way. Larry is already brainstorming ideas, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.”
Series star, Larry David followed up with this about the announcement:
“Believe me, I’m as upset about this as you are. One day I can only hope that HBO will come to their senses and grant me the cancellation I so richly deserve.”
We know you love it really Larry, as do we.
For those unaware, Curb Your Enthusiasm revolves around an over the top fictional version of Larry David as he gets into scrapes with friends and colleagues around Los Angeles. I’ll admit that’s a pretty shoddy description of the show, but should you want to see it in a bit more detail take a look here.
In 2020 Curb Your Enthusiasm is now the proud owner of legendary status. It has won Golden Globes, Emmy’s, and a whole host of comedy awards around the world. Not to mention that it once helped to get an innocent man out of jail. It has it all really.
And thankfully it doesn’t look as if it’s coming to an end anytime soon, no matter what Larry David says.
While there’s no fixed release date for season 11 of Curb Your Enthusiasm it’s nice to know that it’s at least coming back.
