 Curse of the Dead Gods a new roguelike action game by publishers Focus Home Interactive and developers Passtech Games is set to arrive on Steam early access on March 3. However, In the meantime, they have just released a new gameplay trailer, and we will go over everything you need to know about it.

What is The Curse of the Dead Gods?

 The Curse of the Dead Gods is a roguelike action game where players will dive face-first into a labyrinthic temple to seek untold riches, divine power, and even eternal life. While on this quest, players will battle horrid monsters and must avoid traps and endless, bottomless pits.

The Curse of the Dead Gods’ Gameplay Trailer Summary 

  The gameplay trailer shows off intriguing features and concepts, and probably the most intriguing is the game’s sacrificing mechanic. Also, we learn how the game’s combat and how it will function, and it may draw some similarities to ARPG games like Grim Dawn or Diablo.

 Also, the game will have a whole host of different weapons, all with their unique differences and benefits. Furthermore, we also learn that the player can also use the environment around them as a weapon. For example, players can use traps to destroy whole groups of enemies and light braziers to light dark areas of the map that will also weaken monsters.

 The game will have secrets to find and treasure that will help increase the odds of surviving in the temple. As previously mentioned, the trailer shows off a sacrificing mechanic; how it works is the player can offer either gold or blood to gain powerful relics, and we also learn that this is also apart of a corruption mechanic.

 Further on, the trailer explains that as the player explores the temple, they will suffer corruption from the god of death, and this is caused by certain enemy attacks or willing offering blood to alters. The following will eventually cause curses, so the player will need to balance this, or it will hinder their quest. The Curse of the Dead Gods Pax East and Road map

 Curse of the dead gods will be showcased this week at PAX East at the Focus Home Interactive booth (#29017) from February 27 to March 1. Also, the showcased will be viewable at 5 p.m. CET/11 a.m. ET on the studio’s official Twitch channel. 

 When the game launches on Steam early access, it will have a roadmap of frequent updates with tons of content and improvements, and the updates will be based on community feedback. You can expect the updates to bring new temples, all with their unique looks, traps, and enemies, plus new game modes, mechanics, weapons, curses, and relics.
