Cyberpunk 2077 is a game with many quests that will have you dug into it for hours. If you’re willing to get through the majority even if not all of them, you’re looking at upwards of something like 50-60 hours. It helps that many of these sidequests are handcrafted, meaning nothing’s as simple as it may seem and feels a lot like a miniature main quest. One of these quests, Dream On, comes as part of a questline given by Elizabeth and Jefferson Peralez. In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to do the various steps and the consequences of your actions.
How to Complete Dream On in Cyberpunk 2077
The first part of Cyberpunk 2077’s Dream On quest will have you speaking with the couple on a strange event that happened to Jefferson. He recalls seeing an intruder and almost killing him before passing out. Once he woke up and asked security if they saw something, they said nothing happened and it was a dream. The duo doesn’t believe that though, and it’s up to you to figure out the truth. Once Elizabeth gives you a tour and brings you to a hallway, immediately scan for blood markings on the ground. You’ll chat about it, then be sent to follow the trail. This will lead you to a secret door, which you’ll be forced to open. You can do this two different ways, either opening forcefully or getting the code. If you don’t have enough Body skill, you’ll need to find the code downstairs in the security room.
If you’re forced to go the second route, read the last message on the unlocked computer to get the code (6709) for the locked one. Once on the locked PC, open the door from there. Inside the secret room, you’ll find out their security has been spying on them through one-way glass. Elizabeth will leave the room, leaving you to follow some wires to the roof. This will bring you to a radar dish that brings you to an antenna in the distance. Leave the apartment and head to the antenna, which will initiate a chase sequence with a van. The driver and passenger will run away, leaving you to scan its contents. To your surprise, the duo have been getting brainwashed to be given new memories. In hindsight though, brainwashing a mayor isn’t all that surprising.

After you finish interacting with the van, you’ll get ambushed (in classic Cyberpunk 2077 fashion) and be forced to kill some targets. These are difficult though, so dispatch them quickly and call Elizabeth. She’ll want to meet discreetly, which is rather unusual. When you get there, she explains she expected as much when Jefferson started changing his tastes. Despite this, she’ll ask you to instead go with the story that the security firm was spying on him instead of brainwashing him. This is due to a threat to her and her family, which you later get too. This leaves you with two options once you meet Jefferson. You can either tell him the truth or go with the story that Elizabeth has made up.
Now, you’re likely here cause you’re not sure exactly which choice to pick. I’m happy to say that, like quite a few choices in Cyberpunk 2077, your choice in Dream On doesn’t make much of a difference. There are a few different dialogue options but that’s about it. It really just depends on how you want to play your cards. If you want your V to be honest, then tell him the truth. If you’d rather your V play the safe card for Elizabeth, then do that. Not much will change, so pick wisely.
Either way, I hope this guide helps you when it comes to making your choice in Cyberpunk 2077’s Dream On mission. If it did, be sure to let me know in the comments below. As well, share it around so it can help others.
