CD Projekt Red is throwing the house out of the window with the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. As many already know, this DLC will be the biggest for the game, and it’ll feature a new area, revamped car combat, and a new player experience with the 2.0 update. However, there is another thing coming to the game that we didn’t know of. Idris Elba, who plays Solomon Reed in Phantom Liberty, also brings new music tracks to the game. The renowned actor and musician will feature two songs in one of three new radio stations coming with the expansion.

For those who didn’t know, Idris Eba, besides being a renowned actor known for Pacific Rim (2013) and Beast (2022), is also a musician known as Big Driis. Idris Elba has launched several tracks in the past, and he’s now working with CD Projekt Red to bring his new music to Phantom Liberty.

According to the developers, the DLC will include three new radio stations, which are the following:

  • 89.7 GROWL FM: This station will include tunes from winners of a community competition.
  • 107.5 DARKSTAR RADIO: Includes two new tracks by Idris Elba.
  • 99.9 IMPULSE RADIO: Features an hour-long DJ set by Idris Elba and Private Press.

Besides the new music by Idris Elba for Phantom Liberty, composers P.T. Adamczyk (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners) and Jacek Paciorkowski (Seven: The Days Long Gone) will release a score of 15 tracks for the DLC. This shows that the developers want to take worldbuilding to the next level and focus on other aspects beyond gameplay.

We can’t wait to experience Phantom Liberty along with the new music by Idris Elba and the renowned composers in CD Projekt Red. If you haven’t, there’s still time to pre-order the DLC. Whether you buy or not, update 2.0 will be free for owners of the base game. So, prepare for a brand-new Cyberpunk experience on September 12 for update 2.0.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches on September 26.
