Undoubtedly, 2023 was a fantastic year for CD Projekt Red’s latest game. After a rough launch plagued with bugs and issues and months of tweaking and improving, Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a release date for its Ultimate Edition, which includes the latest DLC and all the updates that improved the game. This edition will launch digitally and physically right on time for the holiday season. If you haven’t had the chance to visit Night City, this will be the best way to do it.

Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition Launches on December 5

Big news… Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition arrives on December 5th in digital AND physical form for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC!

On December 5, players worldwide can experience the thrill of being a mercenary in Night City. The best thing about it is that everyone will get the full version of this RPG. You’ll get the base game, every update released until now, including 2.0, which revamped many aspects of the game, and the highly acclaimed Phantom Liberty expansion. Since the physical version works a bit differently, here’s what comes with it, depending on your platform:

  • PS5:
    • A disc with the base game and a download code for Phantom Liberty.
  • Xbox and PC:
    • The base game and DLC are included in the disc.

People are worried about the PS5 Ultimate Edition, as the DLC comes as a download code. However, according to several users in the X (Twitter) thread, it has something to do with Sony and not with the game’s developers.

While knowing the release date for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is great, it is also bittersweet news. As many know, whenever an edition like this launches, it means the game has run its course and won’t get any other major updates. Still, we shouldn’t be sad. It’s been confirmed the sequel for this game is in early development, and there are other The Witcher projects for those who prefer a fantasy setting. So, while we wait for a new title from these developers, getting this edition sounds like a perfect way to pass our time.
