Will Daniel Radcliffe Do ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Justice in the Upcoming Biopic?
The Harry Potter alum has had a wide range of roles since his breakthrough role as the young wizard. He has done some singing and dancing on Broadway in Equus. Daniel Radcliffe has even shown his comedic abilities in the series Miracle Workers. He hasn’t shown his comedic rapping skills, which he’ll need for the Roku biopic. With such hits as “Amish Paradise” and “White & Nerdy,” the young actor will take on a role unlike any he has ever done. His performance should fall somewhere between the corpse in Swiss Army Man and his role in Guns Akimbo. The Head of Original Scripted Programming for Roku, Colin Davis, has expressed his excitement for the project. He said it was “is sincerely the ultimate combination of talent, creativity, and friends, coming together.” Basically, no pressure on Daniel Radcliffe.
There is no official release date for the film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Once it’s available, it will stream exclusively on The Roku Channel.
