A new leak suggests that another collab between Fortnite and The Witcher franchise is happening sometime in the near future. However, this time, the spotlight will shift from the titular sword-swinging Geralt of Rivia, who is already in Fortnite, to the only other playable character in the Witcher games, the fan-favorite Ciri. Given Fortnite’s previous collaboration with The Witcher, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the game is once again utilizing elements from the universe, especially since The Witcher is making a comeback in grand fashion on Netflix.
Fortnite Might Get a Lot of Witcher Content
According to reliable dataminer iFireMonkey, who has a very good track record when it comes to Fortnite datamines, there is evidence of an upcoming Fortnite-Witcher collab. The encrypted files from Fortnite hint at a specific focus on Ciri. iFireMonkey even shared an image of a new banner featuring Ciri’s unmistakable face. It appears that players can expect a Ciri skin and glider in Fortnite. This comes not long after the introduction of a Geralt skin earlier this year through a Fortnite quest reward. It’s possible that Ciri’s inclusion will also involve quests.
In addition to the new cosmetic items, iFireMonkey revealed that there will be two creative islands in the update. This collaboration is likely to coincide with the release of Netflix’s The Witcher season 3, scheduled for release on Thursday, June 29.
Considering the previous Witcher crossover, which introduced various cosmetics like loading screens, sprays, emotes, pickaxes, back bling, and a skin for Geralt, it’s reasonable to assume that the Ciri event will offer similar things, and maybe a few surprises. If they really get creative, we might even get to see a new weapon from the Witcher universe, or maybe something related to The Wild Hunt.
As of now, an official announcement or release date for the Fortnite-Witcher collaboration featuring Ciri has yet to be made. Rest assured, The Nerd Stash will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.
