It was 1993 when the world got their hands on Mortal Kombat on consoles. While the first entry launched in 1992, many remember the hit fighting series’ console release in 1993. To hype players back then, the legendary Mortal Monday commercial aired, giving way to the iconic Mortal Kombat scream. 30 years later, the people behind the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 game have paid homage to the classic Mortal Monday commercial by making a new one featuring none other than Dave Bautista in a new trailer that’s here to hype us all.

Mortal Kombat 1 Pays Homage to Mortal Monday

Mortal Kombat 1, besides throwing skulls and guts everywhere, is also throwing in nostalgia with the latest trailers. Given how we were all hyped ever since the game was announced and due to its recent showcases in the latest game shows, we thought the developers would take a break. How wrong we were.

In a new trailer featuring Dave Bautista, Mortal Kombat 1 pays homage to the iconic Mortal Monday commercial. This new trailer sees the Guardians of the Galaxy cast member gathering crowds of people to get them ready for a fight, and ready they are.

Now, a few weeks before Mortal Kombat 1’s release, Dave Bautista and all the world are ready to take the stage, grab their favorite characters, and scream Mortal Kombat!

If you want to prepare for it, remember you can pre-order the game by going to the official site and picking the title for your favorite platform.
