This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Dave the Diver is a game that surprises players with every turn. When you think you’ve learned everything from it, a new mechanic comes into play. One of the key elements of this game is the restaurant management bit that sometimes lacks explanation, especially regarding workers, and key stats like procurement. Here, we’re highlighting all employee stats in Dave the Diver and what they do for each staff member in the game.

Employee Stats Work for Staff Members in Dave the Diver

As we mentioned, the game doesn’t go in-depth to explain what employee stats do for every staff member in Dave the Diver. You get the usual rundown to learn how to hire and assign them to certain areas, but that’s it. There’s no info, for example, on what the hell the procurement stat is… So, this breakdown should help you can decide which ones to prioritize on those busy nights at Bancho’s Sushi!

Cooking

This is an employee stat that many should prioritize in Dave the Diver as it’ll affect the efficiency of your staff when cooking. You’ll notice that the more your restaurant grows, the more customers you’ll get; that’s why it is important to cook fast. Having a few more employees in the kitchen will let you speed up the cooking process and get those dishes out faster.

Serving

Dave isn’t the best at serving as he isn’t fast nor has enough stamina to run and serve drinks. That’s when the serving stat comes into play. Anyone with a high serving stat will rush to customers who want drinks or are waiting for food. This will make the process faster and give you tips throughout the night.

Procure

A few hours into the game, you’ll notice that you can send your staff to get certain ingredients. This is great as you’ll be able to cook more expensive dishes, but sadly, Dave the Diver never explains what the Procurement stat actually does. Well, it improves how your staff works when going on procurement missions. You can get more or better ingredients if your employee’s Procure stat is high. While it isn’t one you should prioritize, it is good to have a few with a high stat such as this to get more ingredients.

Appeal

Last but not least, on our list of employee stats in Dave the Diver, we have Appeal. This stat is tied to customer satisfaction and how much you get from tips. While the difference might not be too big, it is important to have a high appeal if you want to level up your Cooksta rating. Doing so will unlock more slots to put in new dishes or employees.

Remember, employee stats are key if you want to optimize your staff and profit. In short, this is how they work:

  • Cooking: Affects cooking speed
  • Serving: Affects how fast customers get their food and drinks
  • Procure: Increases the number and rarity of ingredients your staff get
  • Appeal: Increases customer satisfaction and tips

And that’s a wrap on all employee stats in Dave the Diver. Now that you know how they work, start looking for the right candidates when hiring and the best to work to maximize your earnings while working with Bancho at his restaurant.

Dave the Diver is available on PC via Steam.
