Critically acclaimed mobile RTS Dawn of Steel will reach Android and Windows devices early in 2016, says German developer flaregames.
Dawn of Steel, currently available exclusively in the iOS App Store, puts players in charge of a squad of mechanized walkers known as Rigs. Rigs are used to assault enemy fortifications, many of which are designed by other human players. Each player also designs and maintains their own base to test against other Rig assaults. These mechanics are tied together by a story about the battle for resources on a planet called Leviathan that will determine the fate of Earth.

“Dawn of Steel’s current customer rating of 4.5 stars in the App Store is a testament to all the hard work put in during development” says flaregames founder and CEO Klaas Kersting. “Moving forward, we can’t wait to bring this fantastic mobile RTS game into the hands of more players across the globe early next year.”
Following a recent update, current Dawn of Steel players can join new Alliances, complete team objectives, and gain unique bonuses. Alliances can increase in level as their treasuries are filled with player-donated gold. This will allow for an increase in the maximum number of members and better Elite boosts.
Dawn of Steel is developed by Superweapon and distributed by flaregames. The team’s collective experience includes contributions to the Command & Conquer, Crysis, and Empires & Allies franchises, among others. The game is available in 17 languages worldwide.
