Marvel is giving Dazzler and Storm a chance to shine in the upcoming From the Ashes relaunch. The House of Ideas is giving the two popular characters their own solo series to join the roster of new X-titles this Summer. The new era of X-Men kicks off this July with a trio of series that will help re-shape the mutant team. These series include X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Exceptional X-Men. Joining those initial titles are other solo series, Phoenix and Wolverine. Now, Dazzler and Storm will take the titular mutants on a new, post-Krakoan, adventure.
Dazzler And Storm
To announce the Dazzler and Storm series, Marvel released the title treatments for the solo series. Unfortunately, no art, plot details, or creative team members have been revealed for the two series. However, a press release did promise news on Dazzler and Storm would be coming this week. Plus, we have a look at what the title logos will look like once the series launches.
Marvel did provide a tagline/slogan for Dazzler and Storm. The former claims, “Her World Tour Begins!” while the latter states “Mutants No Longer Have a Homeland. But, They Still Have A Queen!”. These two mutants are pretty popular amongst X-Men fans, so seeing them shine in their own adventures is fun. Plus, with rumors of mutants finally joining the MCU, it is nice to see Marvel focus on characters not usually in the spotlight.
More Mutant News
Alongside the Dazzler and Storm announcements, Marvel also revealed more mutant news. The From the Ashes era will see an X-Man joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes beginning in Avengers #17 this August. As with the solo titles’ announcement, that is all Marvel is currently revealing. Though details will surely be forthcoming. Meanwhile, Dazzler has an anticipated release in September, with Storm following in October.
