Sharpen your sword and load your gun, because Deadpool is rolling back to town with a vengeance. Marvel announced that the famous merc with the mouth is coming back to a new mini-series where literally everyone from the famous universe is on his hit list.
Marvel’s Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso teased on Twitter about another run of famous killing machine killing everybody again. In his first go around, we saw him face off against zombies, go into space, and yes, kill all the great Marvel characters. Apparently, and yes this is a spoiler for the first run of him killing the Marvel Universe, that was an alternate universe. I guess it’s a good cop out so things don’t have to change drastically. Alonso teased that, perhaps, that specific universe isn’t finished off and Deadpool‘s actions are coming back to haunt him.
But nothing has been confirmed yet. Maybe he’s jumping to a new universe and that particular one gives him a reason to kill everybody, again. In his first go around, he killed Captain America, Punisher, Wolverine, Spider-Man and a slew of other “heroes”. The titular word is in quotes because at the time it wasn’t really them.
The character of has seemed enormous success over the past year because of the smash hit 2016 film starring Ryan Reynolds. The sarcastic assassin has spiked in popularity, so comics division of Marvel will be milking everything they can out of Deadpool. Not to mention, the movie sequel is due for release next year.
The original Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe even had him basically jumping out of the comic pages and killing the comic creators. There were some follow-ups titled Deadpool: Killustrated and Deadpool Kills Deadpool, but this new outing of the famous mini-series seems to be a return to form and a repeat the original.
