People got their magnifying glasses and have refreshed speculation on the MCU. The latest rumor circling is an old one that has new life after the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, as people think Daniel Radcliffe will be the MCU’s Logan after Patch was sighted in the teaser.
At the 1:20 marker in the teaser, you can see the back of the character’s head (seen below). In the comics, this is a persona assumed by Logan to infiltrate a criminal enterprise. He upgrades his wardrobe and wears an eyepatch, making him unidentifiable to the criminals he buddies up with for his mission.
People React to Seeing Patch in Deadpool & Wolverine and Assume Daniel Radcliffe Plays the Character
On X, formerly Twitter, people are going rampant as they confidently think Patch is Daniel Radcliffe. One user posed the questions, “What if Patch is not Hugh? What if it’s Daniel Radcliffe since he was rumored to play an alternate version of Wolverine?” Another pointed out that it must be him as he is “much smaller than Hugh Jackman.”
Some fans are quite excited about the idea of Daniel Radcliffe being Patch or really any Wolverine variant.
Others show skepticism and highlight how ridiculous the conversations about the casting have been.
The Marvel way lately has been that we have to wait for an official confirmation or a reputable report. While we are not certain about the casting, rumors have been right before. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, and Vanessa Kirby were rumored for a long time that they would be in the Fantastic Four. Today, it was confirmed they would be a part of the superhero family. If there was a day to spread rumors, today is the day as fans feel vindicated for believing in the speculated casting.
We will have everything set straight when Deadpool & Wolverine releases on July 26.
