Created by Hideo Kojima, most known for the Metal Gear series, the open-world action game first debuted on the PlayStation 4 in 2019. Also, Sony revealed Death Stranding for Windows in 2020.

Microsoft revealed the information in a tweet, which featured Sam Porter Bridges holding a metal bag with the words “DEATH STRANDING – PC GAME PASS – AUGUST 23, 2022” on a sticker. While adding Death Stranding to PC Game Pass is a massive gain for the service, it doesn’t indicate an Xbox version will be released anytime soon.
In 2019, Sony released Death Stranding for PlayStation, but 505 Games is responsible for the Windows PC version. Death Stranding has been playable on PC since July 2020. It’s unclear if Death Stranding will appear on the Game Pass for Xbox because Sony still controls where the game is released on consoles.
