The April 19 update has arrived for Death Stranding Director’s Cut, and here are the bug fixes and changes that arrived with this patch. We don’t see updates often for Death Stranding Director’s Cut because the game doesn’t require them. The story game developers usually release a few updates in a year, mostly solutions for critical problems or technical improvements for upcoming technologies. The second one is the reason today. Death Stranding Director’s Cut got that update to include new technology in the game, and it also has a few other changes. Here are the patch notes for Death Stranding Director’s Cut update released on April 19.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut April 19 Patch Notes
- XeSS v1.1 – Introduces improved temporal stability for XeSS DP4a and XMX models.
- Reduced ghosting, moire, and flickering
- DualSense Edge Support
You can only see a few changes here, but they have a big meaning. The first change is an update for Intel’s XeSS technology to improve the overall game performance. The second one is a lifesaver; it reduces the in-game action problems and brings a smoother experience. Especially in the parts you move and shoot a lot, it’s possible to see a difference in the game. And the third one is probably is most important one. The game already supports DualSense, but their brand new DualSense controller is at the next level. As the upgraded controller has features that DualSense doesn’t, the optimal DualSense Edge support only arrives with that update.
Those changes might not affect you directly, but they could even be vital for some players. The Directors Cut arrived last month, but the new features are arriving today. If you were waiting to see those game features, it could be an excellent time to play now.
Death Stranding Director’s Cut is available on PC, PS4, and PS5. Please visit the official Death Stranding site for more information regarding this patch.
