Circumstantial evidence is building that the highly anticipated Death Stranding will not be a PS4 exclusive as was initially announced.
The most recent hint that Death Stranding might be available on other platforms besides Sony’s came via the Resetera forums, where user Vesta noticed that the game was no longer shown on the official Playstation website’s list of exclusive titles. This is the most official evidence that there may be a non PS4 version of Death Stranding in the works. Up until now, the rumor mill has been spinning around miss translations of remarks from developers and speculation about interviews from before the game was announced.
Death Stranding, for those who haven’t heard, is the latest game from Hideo Kojima the creator of the Metal Gear series of games. Kojima is widely renowned as one of gaming’s few auteurs, or developers who’s personal vision deeply affects their work. Death Stranding is Kojima’s first game since 2015’s Metal Gear Solid 5. That game was Kojima’s last game made while working for Konami who summarily terminated the celebrated director as the game was released.
Death Stranding is being made using the Decima game development engine which is the product of Guerrilla Games which is, in turn, a Sony First Party studio. So at the very least, the game will have some level of exclusivity associated with it, but just how exclusive will it be?
Will Death Stranding be a console exclusive? Meaning there is a PC version but no XBOX or Nintendo Switch Version.

We will probably need to wait until November 8, when the Death Stranding is released, to know for sure.
