Now that Echoes: Act II has finally dropped, we have a whole new set of quests, activities, and challenges to complete. In this portion of Episode: Echoes, we’re still going to be spending quite a bit of time on Nessus, but for some different reasons this time. Let’s take a look at how to complete the Echoes Act II: A Distant Reply quest in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Step 1

Ikora has an urgent message for you in the Tower.

  • Speak to Ikora Rey in the Tower.

“The Witness is dead. There was no predicting what would come next, but this is what we know. When the Witness fell, the Black Fleet’s eons of salvation and death surged. Its darkness merged with the Traveler’s light, formed first into memory, and then into shape. This impossible object, this echo of the fleet’s victims holds immense power, and it was left for anyone to find. The echo grants the ability to compel. To control. To command. And with it, the conductor has the potential to turn their threat into our annihilation.“

Speak to Ikora in the Tower to learn more about her theories about the Echo.

  • Speak to Ikora Rey in the Annex of the Tower.

“It feels strange to come back to the Tower. I look over at the ramen counter and half-expect to see Cayde. I almost got used to having him back. I want to say that things will be different now… but it seems the only constant in our world is conflict. The next threat to the Vanguard could take any form, and strike at any time. Listen to me… I sound like Zavala. Time spent with old friends will do that to you. When the Vanguard needs you, we know you’ll be there. Until then.“

“Thousands of civilizations across the universe, all visited by the Black Fleet. Memories from the victims of the Pyramids, held by the Darkness, then coalesced by the Light into artifacts as sharp and fatal as their pain. That’s where this Echo came from; at leas that’s our theory. My Hidden will keep searching for whatever answers the Witness’s death can give us. Hopefully they number more than the questions it left behind. Massive amounts of radiolaria have been diverted beneath the planet’s crust. We need to find out what the Vex are building there.“

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
