Destiny 2: How to Complete On the Verge

With the new Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion, we’ve got some new missions to learn how to complete, like the On the Verge mission. This mission is a fairly important one, in which you will help Osiris to discover the mysteries surrounding the Strand. This is one of the stepping stones in unlocking the Strand subclass and abilities for your Guardian, so I wouldn’t pass this one up if I were you.

How to Complete On the Verge in Destiny 2

By the end of the mission, you will have made it to the place where the Cloudstriders meditate, so that you can get a bit closer to unlocking the Strand, so it’s fairly important that you complete this mission if you are planning to unlock the new subclass and its corresponding abilities.  Let’s take a look at the quest steps below:

• Follow the Strand
  1. For this step, you will have to locate Strand Sources that will eventually guide you in the direction of the training grounds
  2. Once the mission starts, you will have to hop straight onto your Sparrow and head straight ahead, following the path that leads in the direction of the diamond
  3. Keep in mind that you will come across Shadow Legion Cabal that stand in your way, but keep following them anyway and don’t stop heading toward your destination

• Go toward the Training Grounds
  1. Head past Liming Harbor and take on the Goblin and Minotaur at the end of the road, then continue on until you find the glowing green thread
  2. There, you will find a Strand node
  3. Interact with the Strand Node and head inside the building next to you, where Vex enemies will begin to spawn
• Disable the Vex Barrier
  1. Every time you defeat a Hydra, an orb will drop
  2. Pick up the orbs and deposit them into the contraption near the locked door in order to clear the barrier
  3. This will require you to kill 3 Hydras total
• Head to the Training Grounds
  1. There will be a small passage that looks somewhat like a reef that you have to head through
  2. On the other end, you will find yourself in Maya’s Retreat
  3. Cross over the bridge in the area and defeat all of the Vex that spawn

• Cross the Chasm
  1. Hop up onto the platform where a Strand node is sitting and grab the Strand node
  2. Grapple over to the green orb that appears on your left, near the Harpy that you should avoid trying to kill
  3. Grapple to each green orb that you see in order to make your way around the chasm, then enter the cave toward the end of the location
  4. Inside the cave, use Strand abilities in order to create Tangles by killing Goblins
  5. Use a Tangle orb by throwing it at a Vex diamond to break it
• Head to the Training Grounds
  1. Once you’ve managed to break all of the Vex Diamonds, platforms will form
  2. Hop up onto the platform to make your way up to the Cloudstriders

• Let the Training Begin
  1. You will find another Strand node nearby, toward the center of the pond
  2. Pick up the Strand node and begin to fight off the Vex enemies that spawn around you, then clear out all of the Vex diamonds that you find
• Defeat the Inquisitor Mind
  1. Place down your Rally Banner, then head to the Strand node and interact with it again
  2. Defeat the Inquisitor Mind boss by using the energy cells dropped by Hydras in over to lower the Minotaur’s shields
