Destiny 2 Hawkmoon is a returning Exotic Hand Cannon from the original Destiny. You’ll need to finish a few questlines before you can get your hands on a piece of it. Here’s a quick breakdown of what quest and steps you will need to do to get Hawkmoon in Destiny 2.
1. Visit Spider and Start “As the Crow Flies” Quest
To start the questline for getting the Hawkmoon Hand Cannon, you need to find Spider in the Tangled Shore. Pick up the “As the Crow Flies” quest. However, to be able to access this quest, you must have the Season of the Hunt pass and have finished the “Hunt for the Wrathborn” quest.
2. Collect Paracausal Feathers
Now you need to find five Paracausal Feather quest items. You can watch Ninja Pups’s video guide above or continue reading below for their locations:
- First Feather: Just before you enter Spider’s lair, it is on top of a crate on the right.
- Second Feather: In The Sludge in EDZ. On a hollowed-out walkway facing the Hallowed Grave Lost Sector.
- Third Feather: In the Steppes, Cosmodrome. Just right next to the area’s vendor.
- Fourth Feather: In The Dreaming City, on the left of the entrance that leads to the Blind Well public event.
- Final Feather: Behind the Shrine of Oryx on the Moon, in a large arena at the end of an enemy-filled passage.
3. Complete the “Let Loose Thy Talons” Questline
Return to the Tangled Shore and talk with The Crow to get the “Let Loose Thy Talons” questline. WoW Quest has a decent video guide on it, or again, just continue reading below. It’s pretty straightforward:
- Go to The Sludge Landing Zone in EDZ to complete “A Cry From Beyond” and obtain the Effigy of Hawkmoon. Bring it back to The Crow.
- Then you’ll be tasked to strengthen Hawkmoon by collecting 50 Orbs of Power. Either equip a Masterwork weapon and farm enemies around the Spider’s Safehouse or fill up your Super from Public Events flags in Patrol zones. Return to The Crow again.
- You will now receive a set of coordinates pointing to Trostland on the EDZ. There simply have to collect five feathers along the mission path and are unmissable. Then kill the boss Ishrasek, Lightbinder of Savathun to finish the mission. Return to The Crow after completing it.
- Now you have to defeat Champions or Guardians in Gambit and Crucible matches. You could just jump into Crucible matches, try running the Master and Legendary Lost Sectors, or the Empire Hunts at 1220.
- Go to the EDZ and complete “The Crow and the Hawk” quest. You will appear inside the Hallowed Grove and collect Hawkmoon partway through. Beat the boss to finish the questline.
