Much speculation has surrounded Bungie’s plans towards Destiny over the past few weeks. First Bungie applied for the trademark ‘ The Taken King’, then Red Bull leaked the title on promotional cans. The speculation was fuelled again last night when a Reddit users posted information about The Taken King including sub-classes and a new raid.

According to the post the expansion will cost $40 and be out on September 15th. The post also went on to reveal a new sub-class for each character. The Warlock will receive an Arc sub-class with the super Lightning Storm, the hunter will get a Void Gravity Bow, and the Titan will receive a Solar Hammer ability.

The post also went on to detail a new raid. The boss will be Oryx, farther of The Dark Bellow’s boss Crota. The details are scarce about the new raid but it did mention a new enemy type called the Taken. The post also mentioned new Crucible maps & more.

So far Bungie have not commented on the leak, but with E3 next week, many are expecting an official announcement.

So far we have little details on the expansion, but with the details leaked, will the $40 price tag be worth it? Many people were left disappointed with the lack of a new raid in the latest DLC, The House of Wolves, even though it was outlined in the expansion pass. So will a new raid, new sub-class and some PVP maps add up to $40? Personally for the price tag of $40 I would like another character slot, a new planet, and a totally new story experience. I would also like more levels to gain through experience instead of light.

We will have to wait until next week for more details on The Taken King, but what do you want to see from the latest expansion? Let us know in the comments below.
