Rakuten’s recent listing of the final volume of Ryo Handa’s Blackguard manga shows that Hanada will launch a sequel to his popular Devil’s Line manga, which previously got an anime adaptation. The upcoming manga is titled Devil’s Line II: Counterattack and will launch in March 2022. Kodansha’s Morning two magazine will also publish the series on January 20.
Hanada first announced in September that he was preparing a new series for serialization. However, this announcement came without a name or a release window for the story. Vertical Comics is publishing his original Devil’s Line manga in English print. Kodansha Advanced Media is also releasing the manga digitally in North America for purchase. Vertical describes the story as:
Tsukasa, a college student, is rescued from an attack by a devil, a vampires that can blend in among humans. Anzai, her savior, is a half-devil who exploits his supernatural gifts. He i a member of a shadowy police force that specializes in devil-related crime in Tokyo. As Anzai continues to guard over Tsukasa, the two quickly form a tentative bond- one that Anzai fears will test his iron clad rule of never drinking human blood…”
