After months of anticipation, the Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs trial has finally come to a close, with the rapper receiving a little over 4 years of prison sentence. According to CNN, he was convicted on “two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution” and must pay a total of 50 months for his crimes. Needless to say, this was not the ending many were hoping for the baby-oil-loving, freak-off-hosting diddler to receive. People were also quick to compare the recent sentencing of Donald Trump’s former “faith advisor” Robert Morris.
The 64-year-old megachurch pastor from Texas has long been connected with President Donald Trump and MAGA. Now, Morris has pleaded guilty to abusing a 12-year-old girl back in the 80s and will serve 6 months in jail. According to The Guardian, Trump referred to him and his church staff as “great people with a great reputation,” which is quite ironic, considering the state of his current reputation. Donald Trump has also been avoiding his connection with possible sexual abuse charges, as everyone has now been well aware of his refusal to release the Epstein files.
“Trump’s faith advisor is getting only 6 months for 5 offenses. He’s technically getting a worse sentence for a well-connected individual,” remarked a Redditor comparing Morris to Diddy. Another added how Trump even considered pardoning Diddy not too long ago, had he not chosen to support Kamala Harris in the last election. As for the former rapper’s sentencing, everyone expressed how they were sure he’d get a harsher punishment, given how the court allegedly mentioned there was ‘massive evidence that would result in a significant sentence. Four years isn’t much, especially since many point out that he gets out in two, as he’s technically already been serving for several months.
Many Agree that Diddy and Morris’ Sentences Should Have Been Much Longer
“Most people’s car loans are longer than that,” exclaimed a commenter. Many said the court and the judge dropped the ball hard on this case, whereas others say this is just the result of Diddy being a rich celebrity. People discussing Trump’s spiritual campaign advisor’s sentence feel the same, with many clamoring for a much longer sentence. “I’m disgusted with the crime and disgusted with the sentence. This is a joke of a justice system,” reads a commenter on YouTube. “6 months? lol what a joke,” said a second. Oddly enough, Morris was initially sentenced to 10 years in custody, but a plea deal reduced the sex offender’s sentence to half a year in jail with probation.
That all being said, the American justice system has once again disappointed many people. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Robert Morris are getting what they deserve, but numerous people feel they deserve worse, a lot worse, and who can blame them?
