How New Game Plus Works in Digimon Survive
Digimon Survive is a visual novel, role-playing strategy game that tells the story of a group of kids that hurled into another world by fate and have to survive with the aid of the monsters they meet there. After you beat the game once, the New Game Plus mode will be unlocked, and you choose when you want to start a new game.
When you start a New Game Plus, you will keep all free Digimon that you have recruited, all items acquired, all Perceived Memories, and all unlocked evolutions for the partner Digimon. Although you have reached the plot point where the Digimon will become your partner, their stats and level will be the same as the original playthrough.
In the New Game Plus mode, you will also unlock Mugen Recollection which is a special battle encounter where you have to fight against large, varied groups of Digimon, which are also must tougher. Clearing each stage of this will reward you will powerful items that you can use.
In the first playthrough of Digimon Survive (SPOILER ALERT), two characters cannot be saved. These two are Ryo and Shuuji, but in the New Game Plus mode, it is possible to save Ryo if his affinity is raised to 30 before the end of Part 3. Doing this will also cause Ryo to prevent the death of Shuuji in Part 5.
