A Rift in Time brings three new Disney original characters to Disney Dreamlight Valley, as well as many gameplay tweaks and zones. Gameloft will showcase the new expansion on November 1, but we already know so much about it. The expansion will be out on December 5. Here’s everything new included in the expansion:

  • New Original Characters: Rapunzel from Tangled is finally coming to The Valley. Rapunzel has been a wildly requested character by players for a long time, and now it’s coming true. Moreover, Eve from Wall-E and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast will also take their place in The Valley. We will see only these three in the original cast, but many side characters may also come with the expansion.
  • New Zone: A brand new location will be added to the game, and it is said that it will have a completely different atmosphere. This new zone may be related to Rapunzel’s castle or Eve’s spaceship, the upcoming characters.
  • New Biomes: Disney Dreamlight Valley is known for its cozy and attractive biomes. With the A Rift in Time expansion, three or more new biomes will be added to the game. These biomes may be related to new characters and quests. All of these new biomes will be located on Eternity Isle.
  • New Gameplay and A Royal Tool: There will be a few tweaks regarding the gameplay of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Even though it’s not clear yet, we think they’ll be interesting. Moreover, players will now be able to hold a magical staff. This looks like a royal tool.
  • New Critters: Three new critters will be added to the game with the new expansion. These are revealed to be snakes, monkeys, and capybaras. It’s very possible that these new critters may have something to do with the three new biomes.

How Much Does The New Expansion Cost

Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s new expansion, A Rift in Time, will be $29.99. The base game is not included in this price, and you must purchase the game for expansion first. If you buy the Gold Edition, you can have both the game and the new expansion. Moreover, 5,000 Moonstones will be given to those who purchase the new expansion pass. Unfortunately, while you can unlock bundles, you will not be able to use the Moonstones you have to unlock the expansion.
