With the recent massive update in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Dreamers have plenty of tasks to keep them busy for the holidays, such as the “Harvest Something Sweet” Duty. Whether players are looking to earn some extra Dreamlight, progress their Star Path, or receive a festive limited-time reward, completing Duties is a central element to one’s journey in Dreamlight Valley. Some Duties, like “Catch Fish 0/10,” are quite straightforward in their instructions, while something like “Harvest Something Sweet” might be somewhat vague, especially to newcomers. Fortunately, the solution to clearing this Duty is extremely easy, requiring just a handful of Star Coins and some farm work.

To complete the “Harvest Something Sweet” Duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley, all players must do is plant and harvest Sugarcane. To clear the Duty, fans will need a total of 40 Sugarcane Seeds, which can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall at Dazzle Beach.

According to Pro Game Guides, Sugarcane Seeds cost 5 Star Coins a pouch and mature after seven minutes of real-world time. Because players will need to plant and harvest 40 Sugarcane, the process of completing the “Harvest Something Sweet” Duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley should take no less than ten minutes. While it might be tempting to immediately sell all the harvest after the Duty, players are encouraged to save it for future activities or cooking. Sugarcane is a common ingredient in some of the best Energy-restoring recipes available. Therefore, it is always better to have some extra ingredients rather than selling them for a small profit.

As for those new to Dreamlight Valley, Dazzle Beach is one of the first biomes that unlocks as players progress through the main campaign. After learning how to clear Night Thorns and increase Friendship Levels with Villagers, players will be able to spend 1,000 Dreamlight to unlock access to Dazzle Beach. Keep in mind that Goofy’s Stall in this biome is not available from the get-go. Players will still need to spend some Star Coins to rebuild Goofy’s shop for Sugarcane Seeds to become obtainable for purchase.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
