One of the most universally beloved side dishes in both the real world and Disney Dreamlight Valley is French Fries, french-cut, deep-fried slices of salted Potato. This 2-Star Recipe is easy to make, mandating only two ingredients. However, knowing how to find these two ingredients is a different challenge in itself, as one of the items is located in an end-game biome requiring a massive investment of Dreamlight. Nevertheless, if players are aiming to complete specific Dreamlight Duties or Pixar Fest objectives, then knowing how to make the French Fries Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley is essential.

The French Fries Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley requires Potato ×1 and Canola ×1. Canola is categorized as a Valley Grain and can be found and grown within the Forest of Valor, northeast of Plaza. On the other hand, Potatoes are a Vegetable that only becomes obtainable after unlocking the Forgotten Lands biome north of the Sunlit Plateau.

First, the Forest of Valor can be accessed by giving Merlin 3,000 Dreamlight. Afterward, players can acquire Canola or Canola Seeds from Goofy’s Stall within the region. Planting this crop will yield a harvest after 30 minutes of real-world time. As for the Forgotten Lands, this biome can only be entered after unlocking the Sunlit Plateau, which costs 7,000 Dreamlight. After reaching the entrance to the Forgotten Lands, Dreams must then pay Merlin 15,000 Dreamlight to clear away the Night Thorns. As of October 2022, this biome is the most expensive area to unlock in the game. Therefore, players should not feel the need to rush to collect all the necessary Dreamlight, as it is a hefty investment.

Nevertheless, after finally gaining access to Forgotten Lands, players can purchase Potatoes or Potato Seeds from Goofy’s Stall in the biome. Growing this crop takes 35 minutes. Finally, Dreamers can head to Chez Remy or their home kitchen and cook the French Fries Recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Be careful not to miss putting in the Canola, as cooking a single Potato will yield the Puree recipe instead.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
