Besides unlocking new characters, Disney Dreamlight Valley also includes cool animals that can become your companions. Once you have an animal companion, you can find them when you access your wardrobe. Selecting a companion allows them to hang around you during your time in the Valley. One of these adorable companions is Moana’s sweet pet pig Pua. If you want to unlock Pua as a companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley, we’ll show you exactly what quests you must complete.
How to Get Pua as a Companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Pua is obviously connected to Moana in the game. As such, you must gain access to Moana if you ever want Pua as your companion. Also, Moana’s Friendship Level must be at 7. So, interact with her as much as you can to raise that level. Remember to follow along with her various quests too.
If you do all that, you will soon get a quest called “The Search for Pua”. Pua is wandering around, and he’s left behind some glowing tracks Moana will ask you for help following. This is the start of acquiring Pua as a companion in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
The tracks start out at the beach. Talk to Moana to receive the next part of the quest, which takes you to the Valley, where more Pua tracks are found around a pond. From there, Pua heads to the Plaza and leaves behind more tracks in his search for food. So, after you speak to Moana about them, go to Chez Remy’s restaurant to find food scraps on the ground. Again, speak with Moana to continue the questline.
Once you’re directed to the Forest of Valor, you’re one step closer to Pua in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Fortunately, here’s where Pua is. Unfortunately, Pua is trapped in a bundle of Night Thorns. Destroy these pesky Night Thorns to free him. You’ll get a Leadership Crystal for your trouble.
Simply return to Moana to finish this Disney Dreamlight Valley questline, and Pua will be a companion. Now, you can have this charming little pig as your friend.
