In each update, the Gameloft team strives not only for a unique Star Path or for bringing new content that attracts and motivates players in its valleys. But also to make the experience more enjoyable and with mechanics that make it easier to do friendship missions or complete royal tasks. With the February update, we will not only have new neighbors this time. With the Tales of Agrabah update, we will get one of the QoL changes in Disney Dreamlight Valley, which players have been asking for for a long time.
I am still fascinated with the developers’ last change for the winter 2024 update. Since we could rotate the objects in more directions, editing and decorating the valley became a thousand times easier. That’s why it’s great that we can change the size of our rooms for this expansion—choose from a small living room or a giant dining room. If you want to keep practicing your decoration skills, we will also get four more floating islands, so hopefully, you have a lot of Dreamlight to unlock each one.
One of the biggest issues for me, and what I hated the most in the game, was cooking. Not for making the dishes, but doomscrolling until the dish I was looking for appeared. If I wanted to do the same dish several times, I had to look for it each time. That’s why Tales of Agrabah gives one of the best QoL changes to Disney Dreamlight Valley. In the cooking menu, we can type the name instead of looking for it in all the tabs.
Also, with Tiana, you can unlock the “Slow cooker,” which allows you to leave several dishes in a queue to cook by themselves while you continue doing quests. Another improvement is that when cooking, which characters want certain dishes will appear if they are a quest request or a restaurant order. So we will not have to check the restaurants, the quest menu, or collections every time. Something similar happens with the inventory since our objects will have tags to indicate where to get them or if it is the favorite gift for the day of one of your neighbors.
