A Star Wars actor is meeting a fellow star in the galaxy far, far away for a new project. Star Wars sequel trilogy actor Domhnall Gleeson is the latest to join prequel trilogy star Natalie Portman and John Krasinski in Fountain of Youth. The film is an original idea from Guy Ritchie that has the backing of Skydance Media and Apple TV.
Details about the Ex Machina star’s part are kept under wraps. From what we know, the film is about siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who go on a worldwide heist to find the mythical Fountain of Youth. They have a chance at immortality, so it will take a global search, their combined knowledge of history, and investigative senses to follow the trail of clues to complete their objective.

The film will be directed by Ritchie with a script from Zodiac and Scream writer James Vanderbilt. According to Deadline, which reported on the latest casting update, wrote that sources say that the script “blew execs away.”
Producers will include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Tripp Vinson, Vanderbilt, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson, and Jake Myers. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella serve as executive producers.
The project has been in the air for quite some time. The strikes put everything on pause, and since SAG-AFTRA and WGA signed new contracts, everyone’s schedules have shifted. While it is uncertain where Domhnall Gleeson was at for negotiations, early on, it had John Krasinski and the director tied to Fountain of Youth. Now that their schedules have opened, they have made the commitment to the project, the same with the Black Swan star.
The new addition to the film is best known for Alex Garland’s Ex Machina with Oscar Isaac and the Star Wars sequel trilogy as General Hux. Recently, he was in HBO’s White House Plumbers and Hulu’s The Patient.
