Don’t Nod is best known for making the famous Life is Strange series of games, in which player decision directs the entire plot. The company has just announced via X (formerly Twitter) that it has decided to delay the release of its upcoming game, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, out of 2024.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage was originally planned to be released in late 2024, but has been delayed to early 2025. The reason for this delay is that the developer is also working on the next Life is Strange game as well, and wants both games to get ample development time to fully reach their potential.

The upcoming game, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, is a new IP that takes a page from Life is Strange and will be a story-driven game where player decisions matter most. The protagonist of the game is Swann, described as a “quirky introvert” and it takes place way back in 1995.

Those who were extremely excited about the game don’t need to worry, as the delay won’t be an extremely long one. Don’t Nod said that the release date of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is being moved only to slightly adjust the game so it should arrive fairly early in 2025 instead of the start of Q2.

The CEO of Don’t Nod reiterated in a press release that Lost Records: Bloom & Rage and the next Life is Strange must be given the space they need. Not just because they’re similar in nature, but also because they are being developed at the same time.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is expected to be released on October 15, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
