After abandoning Call of Duty: Warzone 2 a few months ago, Dr. Disrespect is once again convinced to play the game after MW3‘s Season 1 update. The new movement system, longer TTK, and lots of other Warzone Season 1 changes have converted this game into how Warzone 1 was played two years ago. And this has brought back many of the streamers and OG players to get back into the Call of Duty action. For the 1998 and 1999 blockbuster video game champions, however, the current Warzone status could be much better than this.
Last year, when Warzone 2 was launched, many players criticized how the overall gameplay had changed. The game’s pace became slower, and the TTK wasn’t appealing for a battle royal game. Sniper rifles didn’t one-shot anymore, and any player with an RPK and a camping playstyle could dominate the field. This is what Dr. Disrespect had addressed before, and lots of the issues have been solved with the Warzone Season 1 update. But it seems that more changes are needed for this game.
Recently Dr. Disrespect has been streaming Call of Duty: Warzone accompanied by Zlaner, just like they did in Warzone 1. However, they both agree that the game’s audio in Warzone is very buggy to start with.
Dr. Disrespect Doesn’t Think Warzone 3 Lasts For Good
Do we need this many lasers? 1, 2, 3,.. fifteen different lasers? Do we need that? Nooo! Nobody wants it! You’re not Tarkov!
Connection failed, every ******* time after every single game.
You can hear nothing! Nothing! This guy is sprinting! There’s no audio!..
These are some of the comments that Dr. Disrespect has on the current status of Warzone. Now, while some of them like having too many laser attachments is arguable, the others are mostly accepted by many players experiencing the game. For example, the audio design of Warzone is not a good one.
Yes, the sound of weapons and vehicles is some of the best there is in a video game. However, in a competitive shooter game where players need to pay attention to the enemy’s footsteps, the audio surrounding the player must be perfectly reflected. This is the main issue of Warzone Season 1, as it gets buggy to hear the enemy’s footsteps on different surfaces and levels in the game.
And with the current Warzone Season 1 status, Dr. Disrespect thinks that this game won’t last if they keep going this way. He has suggested in his video that Activision should give the Warzone‘s heavy duty to Treyarch, as they would do much better to improve Call of Duty‘s battle royal experience. Now, this opinion comes from a streamer who has worked for Activision as a developer at Sledgehammer Games. So it’s understandable if fans get worried about Warzone and its future.
This is while Doc has also praised the new movement changes in the game, stating that “The performance of the game right of the rip, feels super slippery, and slick.” And with the upcoming Call of Duty game, Treyarch will have its impact on next year’s Warzone experience. All to do now is wait and see what happens to one of the best shooter videogame franchises in the upcoming months and years.
Call of Duty: Warzone Season 1 is currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
