I’ve seen my fair share of absolutely insane videos while writing about different Human Interest topics. There is an entire archive of people who just love to be recorded doing the wildest imaginable things. One of the most interesting videos I’ve ever seen, involving a burning Christmas tree and a drunk Karen, really brings in the holiday spirit experienced after ingesting a ton of alcohol. Fortunately, the entire event was recorded and then reposted to Reddit so that everyone could check out and judge for themselves.
The video depicts a drunk Karen partying it up in what appears to be a small apartment with other guests. While dancing, she holds up a lit sparkler that’s emitting small flames in all directions. Unfortunately, one of these small flames lands on a nearby Christmas tree, setting it ablaze. Instead of freaking out or doing anything remotely intelligent about the situation, the party guests simply poke and prod at the fire. Finally, someone decides to pick up the flaming tree and take it to the entrance of the apartment to try and put it out.
What’s absolutely hilarious is the idea that someone genuinely thought taking a flaming Christmas tree to the only entrance of an apartment was smart. If the flame got any larger, how was anyone expecting to be able to get out of there? Commenters were quick to agree, criticizing the partygoers.
“Quick! Block the exit with the flaming tree!!!”
Outside of the apartment, you can see the flames grow rapidly while attendees simply stand and stare. It wasn’t until way after everything started, and the flames were at ceiling level, that someone finally thought using a fire extinguisher would be a good idea. Hopefully, no one was burned by the open flame, and everyone involved was still able to have a good night. Considering how nonchalant everyone seemed to be, the alcohol was doing its job.
