A woman in Tennessee had too much to drink and things took a very chaotic turn after that. It all started when a Chattanooga police officer pulled up to find a woman on the side of the road. At first, it appeared that the officer was concerned for the woman’s welfare, as she looked to be very drunk and had a wound on her face, possibly from a fall. However, she ended up in handcuffs.
In a video posted to Reddit, a blonde woman wearing a white shirt and a pair of shorts is seen sitting on the side of the road. She has a scrape on the side of her face that looks fresh. When the cop asks her how she got the cut, she tells him she doesn’t know. She appears to be disoriented and claims not to remember much of what’s happened. However, she is clear about one thing. She’s had a lot to drink that day.
While speaking to the police officer, the woman asks him if he will help her get up. He tells her that it’s better if she stays seated, likely because she’s so off balance and may fall down if she attempts to get up on her feet.
Tennessee Woman Tries To Bite Police Officer Before Arrest
He goes on to question her about her home address, and she confirms to him that she’s homeless. “If you stick with me, I’ll stick with you,” she tells him when he wonders why she’s so forgetful. “Look at me. Let’s do this together,” she continues. “I don’t think we need to do anything together,” the cop replies.
The cop questioned other people who had allegedly seen the woman get hit. A witness claimed that she had gotten out of a truck with a man, who got out with her. However, before the witness could continue his story, the drunk woman began to get to her feet. The police officer quickly tried to get her to sit back down, and that’s when things took a dramatic turn.
The woman didn’t want to sit down, and when the officer placed his hands on her, she got violent. She began yelling “You do not own me,” and even attempted to bite his arm. The cop got angry and pushed the woman to the ground, where she lay flat until he forced her to roll her over and cuff her.
While being cuffed, the drunk woman began to scream and wail. She howled and protested. However, the officer slapped a pair of cuffs on her, and the ambulance arrived to give her a medical checkup.
“I’m a nurse in a hospital, I deal with confused people, drunks, people high off their minds. There is a way to approach them, namely by doing more listening than talking. For one, don’t just bark orders like ‘sit down’ and try to shove them back to the ground. Offer a hand to steady them, explain why you want them to stay put,” one commenter wrote.
“Whale yell at me why doncha?” another person chimed in. “I like how she’s laying on the ground pretending to be unconscious but is really just playing possum,” a third comment read.
As the video ends, the Tennessee police officer confirms that the woman will be going to jail for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and assault on an officer.
