DWTS’ Dianne Buswell recently opened up about her Bulimia battle. The dancer detailed how her mental health took a hit when she could not move during the ordeal.
Buswell, 33, recently made the news after her dream home with boyfriend Joe Sugg, 31, was put on the market. This comes amidst growing speculations regarding the status of their relationship.
Buswell and Sugg met in 2018 when they were paired on “Strictly Come Dancing.” The two eventually came second but struck up an instant connection. They began dating shortly after the competition and have been together since then.
In 2021, the two took their relationship to another level when they purchased an idyllic mansion in West Sussex. Two years later, the house was put up for sale for £1,350,000.
The listing for the mansion reads, “A beautifully presented and extended detached family house, situated in an elevated position boasting glorious views and having a very large plot of approximately 0.7 acre.”
Meanwhile, the couple has continued to deny rumors of a split. The two even looked loved up as they walked the red carpet of the BAFTA film awards in London last month.

“DWTS” Dianne Buswell’s Bulimia Battle
Over the last few years, Buswell’s relationship with Sugg formed a major part of the stories about her in the media. However, behind-the-scenes the Australian dancer was silently battling with bulimia.
Bulimia nervosa is a potentially life-threatening eating disorder — characterized by bingeing followed by methods to avoid weight gain. The DWTS star first opened up about her eating disorder last year.
More recently, she reflected on how she was unable to move at the peak of her bulimia battle. She said this while speaking about her mental health on Monday’s Lorraine. In her words:
“One thing that I really realized when I wasn’t well, is how much movement made me happy. How good that was for my mental health.”
She continued:
“When that was taken away from me because my body wasn’t able to produce what I wanted, it really got me down. Movement is something I need to keep myself happy.”
Last year, DWTS‘ Dianne Buswell opened up about her bulimia battle during an appearance on BBC1’s Freeze The Fear with Wim Hof. She revealed her obsession with her weight spiraled into an unhealthy eating habit.
Things became so terrible that she would pass out on the side of the stage and her body felt like “it was starting to shut down.” Buswell claimed her doctors even warned that she was at risk of a heart attack.
Thankfully, she was able to make some lifestyle changes. Dianne Buswell, the DWTS star, is certainly not in the clear yet but is in a much better place than she was a year ago.
