Dying Light 2: Should You Help Jack and Joe?

Jack or Joe?

Dying Light 2 is a game of many, many choices that help you shape your Aiden to be exactly how you’d be in that moment. While not every single choice has an effect on the ending you get, the shaping of your character and ability to immerse yourself in your Aiden is a great touch. Just one of these choices that you can make is during the Water Tower mission where you determine who should get control of the water, though two bandits have control of the top and aren’t willing to give it up. That is, unless you want to work with them and give them an out.

So first and foremost, this choice won’t change your ending. Given that the Water Tower choice won’t change your ending either, this isn’t going to have a major effect either. With that out of the way, here’s what each choice does.

Help Jack and Joe

If you choose to help Jack and Joe, you’ll later find them within the Peacekeeper’s massive ship base. Meeting them there later in the game lets you have access to an extra side quest, so this generally is going to be the best choice you can make.

Don’t Help Jack and Joe

Admittedly this option is a little less interesting, as Jack and Joe appear to get aggressive then require you to fight and kill them. It isn’t too difficult of a fight thankfully, and there isn’t much you’ll need to do afterward that you wouldn’t already do, though you won’t get that side quest later on. If you ask me, that’s likely the best option no matter what you do. But hey, it’s your Aiden to shape.
