Call of Duty had a special place on Sony’s stage this E3 as they announced Activision’s new partnership with Sony and the reveal that Playstation 4 owners will be able to play all DLC content and have exclusive access to the beta.
Attendees at Sony’s conference were treated to two new gameplay videos of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. One video featured the co-op campaign and the other showed off the trademark multiplayer experience the series is known for. To those wondering if they were ever going to get a new COD game without robots: well not yet. All the gameplay featured had plenty of mechs, high tech weaponry, cyborgs, and armor suits.

The co-op demo showed four players working together to take down some mechs in an urban area. Everything blew up and buildings fell over in true COD fashion. Equipment and specific loadouts are chosen before each mission to shape how you experience each encounter. One of the most notable gadgets was a glove that sent out a sick wave to make your enemy throw-up. What a time to be alive.
That wasn’t all. A montage of high octane multiplayer thrills were shown next. This mode seemed a little bit more grounded in the modern warfare setting with the addition of wall runs, wall jumps, and crazy spiked death balls (I’m sure there’s a better name for those). It looked like the same fast paced run and gun gameplay fans of the series expect with the addition of being able to swim underwater. I do hope that the throw up ray is unlockable.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be available November 6th for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
