This isn’t a drill people. Square Enix announced at Sony’s press conference that a legitimate Final Fantasy VII remake is coming first to PS4.
The game is being directed by the one and only Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts franchise and former director of Final Fantasy XV.
A brief CG trailer showed a fully 3D glimpse of Barrett and Cloud, as well as the signature Buster Sword. Literally nothing else is known as of yet, other than this is a full-fledge 3D remake.
This news joins recent bombshell that The Last Guardian is alive and well and coming to PS4 in 2016. In fact, immediately following news of Final Fantasy VII Remake was news that Shenmue III is being kickstarted.
I know, what a conference, huh?
