Well in just over 10 hours that goal was met.
Asking for $2 million to help get this project off the ground Shenmue fans decided to speak with their wallets hitting that goal in 10 hours.
The total amount as of writing sits at $2,049,562 with 25,174 backers
Shenmue will have familiar elements from its predecessors and new fight mechanics to achieve a new level of interactive story telling, If successfully funded, which it now id, Shenmue 3 will be available for release on PS4 and PC.
Details revealed on their Kickstarter page goes on to say ‘ If Shenmue 3 was going to get made, I wanted to make it with the fans. Through Kickstarter, I knew that could happen. Together, with Shenmue fans everywhere, I knew we could build the game that the series deserves’ and that seems to have happened very successfully.
With $2 million’s worth of stretch goals left will this be the most funded game on Kickstarter history?
