Mortal Kombat 12 was teased for the first time, unofficially, in a PlayStation Blog posted by one of the series’ creators, Ed Boon, in October last year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fighting game franchise. At one point, when Boon was asked about the future of Mortal Kombat, he confirmed that a new game would be forthcoming, saying that the latest game in the series “isn’t the last”.
As he did a lot of times before, Ed Boon went to Twitter a while ago and shared, “This week should be fun,” and hinted that Mortal Kombat 12 could be officially released this week. However, this post was shared in L format, unlike usual. Of course, Boon’s weird Twitter post sparked the interest of curious fans, and they came up with many theories about it. Some folks say that the new game will be a kind of reboot called Mortal Kombat 1, in line with previous claims and reports, and some say that it will be a sequel. Whatever Mortal Kombat 12 or 1 is called, we can say that there will be critical developments regarding the new game this week.
Mortal Kombat 12 is currently in development and will be released so soon.
