Mortal Kombat 12 has been teased by one of the creators of the series, Ed Boon. There was a recent PlayStation Blog posted to celebrate 30 years of the fighting game series, where Boon was asked several questions about the series. While the Blog mainly focused on the series’ past, there were a few hints about the future of Mortal Kombat.
Ed Boon Talks About Mortal Kombat
During the interview with Boon, he talks about many different subjects. One of the main focuses was his reflection on the Mortal Kombat series as a whole. This includes the current state of the series and reflecting on the creation of the original game. He even talks about the origin of the game’s iconic dragon logo.
Boon also talks about the fighting game series as a whole. While he doesn’t speak to the creators of other games in the genre, such as Street Fighter and Tekken, he admits that he’s a huge fan of these games. He also says that he believes that fighting games are in a good place right now. This is because they are considered mainstream games, and many of them have made it more simple for new players to pick up and play.
Mortal Kombat 12 Teases
Boon was then asked about the future of Mortal Kombat. He confirms that the latest game in the series is “not the last one.” He also mentions that “we will be able to always provide something new with each iteration of Mortal Kombat.” This is because there are always new ideas for the series.
