Konami released the latest update for its flagship football game eFootball today, and the new update marks the beginning of Season 0. As expected, the new season comes with a lot of new content. Fans can expect new kits and squads for their favorite teams, along with a new campaign with the eFootball Season 0 update.
As part of today’s brief, Konami has also provided an update on the popularity of its mobile eFootball port. Earlier this year in February, Konami announced that the mobile version of eFootball had crossed 600 million downloads worldwide. Now only half a year later, the publisher has confirmed it has exceeded a staggering 650 million total downloads. It’s positive to see the player base and interest in its esports program steadily growing.
Konami’s Special Campaign For Hitting 650 Million Downloads Alongside Season 0
In celebration of hitting the 650 million download mark, Konami is holding a special campaign starting August 3, which aims to give back to the players. Fans can expect bonuses, achievements, challenge events, and more during the event. The list of content is as follows:
- Log-in bonuses can total 450,000 GP, 150 coins, 3 Epic Chance Deals
- Between all of the Campaign events, users can gain a further 360,000 GP, 90,000 Experience Points, and a further 200 coins
- Also, by simply playing a total of 50 matches, users can gain 300 coins
For both newcomers and old players of eFootball, there should be plenty of new content to engage in over the month of August. For more news and updates about the upcoming event, stay tuned to The Nerd Stash.
For the uninitiated, eFootball was previously known as PES, Konami then rebranded the series with the aim of reaching a new and larger audience. The rebranding wasn’t just in name, as it was accompanied by comprehensive updates to the game’s engine, along with improved gameplay, and a switch to the free-to-play model for all platforms.
