Bethesda Softworks and Zenimax Online announced today that the first expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online will be arriving next month.

In the first expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, the Imperial City has fallen to the Daedric Prince, Molag Bal. As result, the three alliances will travel to the Imperial City to fight the Daedric forces and each other. This expansion is said to add hours of additional gameplay including new areas to discover, quests to complete, enemies to fight, and exclusive items.

There will also be new PvE and PvP that will be introduced that will allow players to come together to fight Molag Bal’s forces as well as the other alliances. Additional dungeons are also being added that will take players to the inside of the Imperial Sewers network, the White-Gold Tower, and the Imperial Prison.

The Imperial City expansion will also add a new form of currency called Tel Var Stones. These stones will allow players to purchase Veteran Rank 16 weapons and armor. There are also new items being added to the Crown Store in the form of new pets, mounts, costumes, and polymorphs.

To see what all is being added, head over The Elder Scrolls Online official site to see what’s coming.

The Imperial City expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online will be available on August 31st for PC and Mac players. Xbox One players will be able to purchase the expansion on September 15th and Playstation 4 players will get it on September 16th. The Imperial City will be included in for free for players with an ESO Plus membership or for 2,500 Crowns in the crown store.
