With Daredevil‘s second season rapidly approaching, the latest trailer swings the spotlight away from gun-toting fan favourite Punisher and towards the other fan favourite character; Elektra.
We’ve had a very doubting Daredevil in the trailers and promo material so far; Matt is wondering whether all things he’s done in his Vigilante activities. Now, we’re starting to see the reason why he’s so doubtful. As Elektra informs him, the Yakuza aren’t dealt with like he thought they were. They’ve simply been in hiding and Daredevil has actually done them something of a favour by demolishing so many of the other organised crime syndicates in the city.
There’s still no hint as to any ulterior motives, but Elektra seems to think that the solution to the problem is more of the same; although Matt gives her a stern warning not to kill anyone while they’re working together.
We also get a further glimpse that Matt’s problems are starting to spill into his daytime life as well. His friend and law firm partner Franklin ‘Foggy’ Nelson appears to be getting a little bit worn down by lying awake at night, wondering if his best friend will be alive the next morning. Looks like life isn’t going to be easy for Hell’s Kitchen’s local vigilante anytime soon.
Daredevil Season 2 launches March 18th.
