ELEX is soon to be available to buy on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, so it comes to no surprise that more trailers are being released closer to 17 October 2017. Yesterday, a new gameplay trailer for ELEX was released about Albs Faction which is a type of mutant creatures that live in a region in Magalan world.
ELEX is a game by Piranha Bytes, creators of the award-winning Gothic series, that has been generating some hype since Gamescom 2015. The website details the game as a role-playing, open-world action game set in post-apocalypse times. In more detail:
“Advanced in technology, civilized and with a population of billions, Magalan was a planet looking to the future. Then the meteor hit. Those who survived are now trapped in a battle to survive, a struggle to decide the fate of a planet. At the center of this fight is the element “ELEX”. A precious, limited resource that arrived with the meteor, ELEX can power machines, open the door to magic, or re-sculpt life into new, different forms. But which of these choices should be the future of Magalan? Can technology or magic save this world? Or will this new power destroy all those left alive amongst the ruins?”
Players can explore any aspect of the game by foot or even by jetpack. The game claims that if you can see somewhere you want to go then you can reach it. The minimum requirement to play this game on PC is a 6GB memory and 20GB storage. The recommended stats for good playable quality have not been released yet.
ELEX is currently going for £35.99/$44.99 on Steam to pre-order. With high expectations of the game, it is understandable that many players are wary of the hype since No Man’s Sky was such a flop. But we want to hear what you think! Are you excited for ELEX? Let us know in the comments below.
