Key Light works with:
- Windows 10 (64-bit)
- macOS 10.14 or newer
Key Lights can be controlled by the Elgato Stream Deck and Elgato Stream Deck Mini using the Stream Deck software.
The Elgato Key Light can be purchased for approximately $199.99 at Amazon, Best Buy and any other retailer that sells this type of device. One thing to note is there is only one key light per box. So you are paying almost $200 for one light. This is a little pricey, especially if you need more than one.
The Key Light is great in size as it does not take up very much room. Currently, we are using a big umbrella light that a photographer might use and it seems to overpower the desk at times.
Another great thing about this light is the minimum amount of heat that you feel comes off the lights. Many times when we have been streaming, it gets uncomfortably hot with the current set up.
The lights clamp on to the edge of a desk keeping it from taking up floor space. The mounting pole is adjustable so you can place it at the height that works best for the streamer.
The lights are bright and are dimmable. One of the great features about this light setup is the many ways you can control the lighting setup (i.e. power on/off, temperature and brightness, etc.).
There are apps for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. If you have Elgato’s stream deck, you can integrate it that way, as well.
