KOG Games have announced that Luciel, the new dual character for their free-to-play MMORPG Elsword has gotten its first job change, with both parts of the character – Lu, the demon monarch and Ciel the mob hit-man – being able to continue on two different job paths. You can watch a video focused on the job change below.
Lu’s new job path is the Chiliarch. Weary from fighting off demon assassins non-stop with Ciel, Lu recalls her ability to induce fear in her enemies from the time when she used to lead the demon army. As a Chiliarch, Lu wields Terror Energy harvested from fear, and uses them in various skills.
Ciel now has the Royal Guard job path. Now that Ciel has acquired great powers from the demon realm, he pours all efforts into helping Lu, so that she may win back her throne. It’s the least a butler could do. As a Royal Guard, Ciel acquires a powerful new cannon in the shape of a cross on top of being able to obtain his enemies’ soul energy to amplify his own skills.
As a dual character, Lu and Ciel introduce a whole new style of combat to Elsword, as The Nerd Stash has previously covered. Despite being two characters, they share one skill tree yet how each unique skill functions depends on which character is in combat. Certain skills can be used to switch between characters to increase their Combination Gauge. Once unlocked, the combo skills are devastating, but it’s up to players to keep tabs on skill interactions.
Luciel is designed to work as one by accommodating for each of their weaknesses; with Lu focused on wreaking havoc when up-close and personal and Ciel focused on tactical approaches and keeping the enemy at bay. It’s all about setting up for the Queen of Demons with the hit-man of the underworld. Ciel can utilize his advantage to fight enemies that claws can’t reach and disadvantage to bait enemies to get in close only to awaken a sleeping giant.
In Elsword, players can choose from ten specialized and customizable characters as they explore an immersive world and battle rivals to complete dynamic quests. As players progress through the game, they can evolve their fighting styles by upgrading to new job classes, learning deadly new abilities and mastering combo attacks. With intuitive and straightforward controls, Elsword offers players of all skill levels the ability to experience the thrill of victory in combat either on solo missions or cooperatively in a party of up to four players. For those who welcome a challenge, Elsword also delivers action-packed PvP combat.
Elsword is currently available on PC.
